Mr.
Robert Young, 75, of 118 Centerfield Drive, Shelby, NC departed this life on
Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at Wendover Hospice. He was born on May 7, 1937
in Cherokee County, SC to the late Dewitte and Julia Lockhart Young.He was preceded in death by his wife, Bernell Brintley; a brother, William “Bill” Young and a daughter, Sherry Young.
He is survived by two daughters, Wanda Young of Shelby and Janie Williams (Eddie) of Charlotte, NC; a son, Robert Young, Jr. (Cheryl) of Boiling Springs, NC; a step-son, Edward Chambers of Shelby; a sister, Lenora Allison of Shelby; ten grandchildren, Chad Young and Alicia Young, Michael Young, Candace Young, James Young, Justin Young, Patrick Williams, Colby Williams, Eddie Williams, Jr. and Theona Williams; four great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 10, 2013 at 3:00 PM at S.T. Enloe Memorial Chapel with Bishop John Brintley officiating.
