Floyd Walls
Mr.
Floyd Luke Walls, 70, of 200 North Duke Street, York, PA, departed this life on
Thursday, February 28, 2013, at his home. He was born on June 25, 1942 in
Cleveland County, NC to the late Edward and Pauline Hopper Walls.
Floyd worked for a road construction company in the Washington, DC area most of
his working career. He was a member of Walls Memorial Baptist Church where
he gave his life to Christ.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Craig
Walls and sisters, Sally Walls Borders and Sarah Mae Walls.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his brothers and sisters, Edward Walls, Jr. of
Shelby, NC, David L. Walls (Leanna) of Kings Mountain, NC, Willis C. Walls
(friend, Teresa) of York PA, Helen Earley (Joe Louis) and Florine Mooring (Crumel)
both of Charlotte, NC; five children; three grandchildren; a very special
friend, Cheryl Christy and family of York PA and a host of nieces, nephews and
other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at 1:00 PMWalls
Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Nathanial Craig officiating. Burial will
take place at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from
12:00 Noon until 1:00 PM on Wednesday and at other times at the home of Edward
Walls, Jr. 1648 Friendship Rd. in Shelby. Enloe Mortuary is in charge of
the arrangements.
